Q1. What is BestBlogs? How is it different from an RSS reader?
BestBlogs is not an RSS reader. RSS readers help you "subscribe to everything" and drown you in content. BestBlogs helps you "read a few worthwhile things every day" — AI Screening + Expert Review across 600+ sources, distilled into a daily brief plus a personalized feed. See How It Works.
Q2. When is the daily brief updated?
- Public brief: generated at 06:30 every day
- Personalized brief (Pro): generated at 07:00
If you subscribe to email, delivery follows right after generation.
Q3. How does For You work?
A six-dimensional interest profile (Entity / Topic / Domain / Format / Source / Freshness) drives recall and re-ranking. Likes / dislikes / bookmarks / hides adjust weights in real time. Full breakdown in For You.
Q4. Can I adjust my interest tags?
Yes. Under Settings → Interest profile you can view your top tags, add or remove them, and re-weight. The profile also evolves automatically from your reading behavior.
Q5. What are the AI Reading Copilot quotas?
Free users get a daily starter quota. Pro users get a high quota, priority models, and the full skill pack. See AI Reading Copilot and Pro plans.
Subscriptions & account
Q6. How do I subscribe to the email / podcast brief?
Sign in, go to Settings → Subscriptions, and enable the daily email or copy the podcast RSS into your podcast app (Overcast, Apple Podcasts, Spotify, etc.). Pro only.
Q7. Do private RSS feeds work?
Pro users can add private feeds (with a cap). They stay visible only to you and never enter the global pool. Free users can follow public sources.
Q8. How do I migrate my subscriptions from another reader?
OPML bulk import isn't live yet — for now, add sources manually under My Follows → Add new source. OPML import is on the roadmap.
Q9. How do I pay for Pro? Can I cancel?
During the invite-only beta (Apr 12–30), Pro is invite-code only. Starting May 1, early-bird subscriptions open. Monthly and annual plans are available, cancelable at any time — Pro privileges stay until the end of the billing period.

Q10. Can I share a brief with non-members?
Yes — generate a temporary share link and non-members see the full content (with the editor's one-line take). Share pages don't leak your personal tags.
Q11. Is there an API?
Yes. Free accounts can access basic open endpoints; Pro accounts get full API v2 (brief, recommendations, AI chat). See bestblogs-cli.
Q12. When is the mobile app coming?
The mobile app is in active development (issue tracker). The mobile web experience is fully responsive today — we recommend "Add to Home Screen" as a PWA.
Q13. What's the content moderation bar?
AI first runs multi-dimensional scoring and clickbait detection; experts do a second pass. Our explicit lines: no hate / harassment / scam content; no clickbait or content-farm feeds; priority for first-principles analysis, datasets, and case studies.
Q14. Is my reading data used to train AI?
No. Your reading history is not used to train AI models. Your interaction signals are only used to personalize your own recommendations. See the Privacy Policy.
