Bookmarks

Save anything worth coming back to, organized by folder or tag.

What it is

Bookmarks is your collection of saved items on BestBlogs. Hit 🔖 in the top-right of any reading page or card to bookmark; click again to remove.

What's in one bookmark

Field Notes
Original card Title, source, type, score
Saved at Sorted by save time, newest first
Folder Defaults to "Uncategorized," manually movable to any folder
Tags Custom keywords for cross-folder search
Note Your private note (optional)

Two ways to organize

Folders

Best for "group by topic":

  • "Agent architecture," "TypeScript at scale," "Design references"
  • One bookmark belongs to one folder
  • Folders can nest

Tags

Best for "cross-folder retrieval":

  • One bookmark can carry multiple tags
  • Workflow tags like "to-write," "inspiration," "share with team" fit Tags well
  • Tag search → all matching items instantly

Quotas

User Bookmark cap
Free Starter quota (enough for daily use)
Pro Higher quota

Bookmarks vs Highlights

Entry Granularity When to use
Bookmark Full item You want to return to the whole article / podcast
Highlight Paragraph / sentence You want to remember a specific passage or comment on it

The two layer well — bookmark the whole piece, then highlight the key passages inside.

Export & share

  • Export: under Settings → Data export, export all bookmarks as JSON / CSV / Markdown.
  • Share: any single bookmark can generate a temporary share link that opens the original (your note and folder stay private).
